Windsong beautifully punctuates the entrance to this residential community in Prosper, Texas. The wind blowing through the trees, the variety of birds, rolling hills, ponds, lakes, beautiful grass were inspiration for this 85-foot-long and 25-foot-high sculpture. Brad Oldham chose stainless steel for the sculpture’s material so the artwork would appear very fluid, like a stream of air. The way this sturdy metal is twisted and shaped requires master skills. The mirror-polish finish of the stainless steel picks up ambient colors and light, which results in a low-maintenance, low-tech, naturally dynamic installation that will change throughout the day and year and will stay beautiful for many years ahead.
